BEAMAN ARROWS
has anyone else had a problem with these arrows breaking???? i just had a second one snap on me and it is a carbon. i didnt find any blood at all i am goin out to buy all new arrows

RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
No, beman makes some tough carbons. I have shot mine into a concrete wall at 5 yards twice and not had them break. How is it breaking? What broadheads are you using, how far are the arrows going in, where are you hitting the animal? Need more info to find the problem.

RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
I've shot plenty of Beman Carbons in the past, several makes, models and never had a problem with them, at least no more or less than any other carbon or arrow in general.
I'm currently shooting ACC's. |
RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
well i found my arrow and not a drop of blood or anything. It just snapped. maybe i hit a twig and it hit a tree and snapped... i am just glad i didnt wound the deer. no more mechanical broadheads for me

RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
The beman ics carbons that I have seen , that animals are shot with , more often times that not , or greater than 50% of the time break . That is just one reason I wont use them . I am useing their matrix shafts , but unfourtanately they have been discontinued .

RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
I use the Beman ICS 340 Camo Hunters and I think they are very tough and durable. I have killed four deer this year and all four arrows have been cleaned up, the Montecs re-sharpened and are back in my quiver as I type.

RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
I have killed 4 deerand 6 squirrels this year alone with the same Beman shaft, changing only the blades after each shot.
What does mechanical heads have to do with it? |
RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
I use Beman black-max, for year 2005 : 1 roe deer, 1 warthog, 4 fallow deers, several trees and rocks without any break.
If you plan to use the black max or max 4, you have to use the broadheads adapter rings that add strenght to the arrow in case of hard shock. |
RE: BEAMAN ARROWS
I shot a doe through the shoulder with a ICS Hunter Elite at 12 yards with a 100 grain sonic head. The shaft snapped neatly in half. I found the front part in the chest cavity when field dressing it. Never found the other half.
