If I go with a drop away rest...

I was reading a few posts on "chooseing a drop away rest" onthe Mathews board and started thinking..
ALOT of the guys suggested the MUZZY ZERO.Claimed it was VERY silent and easy to set up.
My question, for the guys that use this rest,is do you lose speed with this rest ?.Seems like the cable has to pus/pull the hardware that makes this rets work.Would'nt that take away alittle speed ??.
Would this rest show,or give me some NOTICEABLE improvement over my WB ??.Long range orshort range benifits ??.
It's getting close to that time of the year where I look to spend some time "tinkering" with things that are'nt broke,to see if I can make them EVEN better ;).

I can't give you advice about the Muzzy rest but I just bought a
Ripcord fall away rest. The archery shop owner, where I just bought
my new Switchback, suggested it. I had asked him about the Whisker
Biscuit and he said that the Ripcord is hands down a better rest, less noisy, more accurate. I have had this since last Friday and have shot it all
weekend. All I can say is so far it works for me.

The MZE looks like a complecated rest to put together and set up but if you watch the supplied video it is very easy to set up.

no not at all.

Yes you will gain a few fps due to very little contact with the rest.

I have shot with the MZE out to 100yds with no adverse effect as long as your bow is tuned properly.

you "may" notice greater accuracy with it allso , especialy if your followthru is not dead still , the WB will kick an arrow if the bow is not dead in your hand at the release because it contacts the arrow until the nock clears , the muzzy contacts the shaft for probably 1/3 0f the shaft , and if setup properly clears the fletch .

I agree, the MZE is a great rest....especially for hunting. I have them on all my bows.

I like the QAD Ultra Rest. Works great for me!
