RE: poundage screw on bow striped what to do
from what ive seen of the bow sharkey, the allen head bolt is tilted down in the riser some, and when i tried to back it off some for him man it takes everything in me to barly move it.. he said when he bought it, it was used and he had only bumped up the poundage once and now this is whats its done.. ive shot bows for many year and never have seen this.. but any thing else on this to help him would be great.. thanks again for the replys

Take it to a shop so they can remove the string and cables and relax the bow. Unscrew the limb bolt with no tension on the limbs at all. If it is striped and you go messing with it while it is under tension it may let go and break your face.
If the riser is striped bad then he will need to replace the riser. If he has to do that he may as well buy a new bow. If he hasn't screwed up the threads too bad then the shop should be able to chase them with a tap and straighten them up.
This is why I hate to buy a used bow from someone I don't know.
