switchback or xt

I can buy a switchback or get the new xt for $150 more. Is the new xt worth the extra cash? Give me your recomendations. Thanks.

Is that all that you have shot? I only ask because I shot the xt and the Trykon and took home the Trykon. To me it was a better bow. Don't get me wrong both are very nice and it really is a matter of personal choice. Just try them both before you decide.

The closest shop to me only carries Matthews and PSE. But the biggest problem is that I am a lefty. There arent any shops with in 75 miles that stocks a lefty in anything but lower end brands. I will look at the Trykon though. Looking at your signature it looks like we have the same taste. I shoot GTs and slicks with a TTaker rest. Thanks for the advice.

Good luck to you. Bummer that you can't shoot one first. Maybe as time goes on someone will get one in. You could also try talking to a pro shop and seeing if the rep for these companies might have one that they could leave for you to try. I would think that a good rep for any company would be able to loan out a bow to a pro shop for someone to try. Doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck and I am sure you will be happy with either of them.

Has anyone heard which bow is more forgiving for a less that perfect form? I worry about the short axle to axle on the xt however the brace height is 1/2" more. I need to choose the bow that is esier to shoot.

I shot both last Friday and I could tell that the XT was a little more
"dead" after the shot plus the archery shop owner told me it was also a little slower.Otherthan thatthere was not enough difference to
spend the extra money on it, the Switchback made the ride back home
with me.

Right!!! Sure you can. If that's the case, buy all you can and sell them on ebay. A new switchback XT for $600.00 I don't think Sooooo.
