Default thoughts on switchback

I realize this has been discussed a ton but I was wondering if anyone was unhappy with their switchback. I am thinking of ordering one and just want to make sure.
I would love to try out some bows but no one around here has a switchback or any bowtechs in stock. Everyone around here carries PSE and jennings. If you want a mathews you have to order it.

Any thoughts on the switchback would be great.
Thanks

That is too bad that you can't shoot them first. I did shoot the new SwitchBack and it is a great bow. I shot it side by side with the Trykon and to ME the Trykon just felt better. I do think it may be worth your time to find somewhere or someone that could let you shoot several different bows. I don't think you will be disappointed with a SwitchBack but I know I would not want to be buying one without shooting others. Good luck to you.

I love my Switchback, but I'll be trying out the new Trykon in a couple of months...just cause I'm a bit curious. I'm sure it shoots great and I love the Hoyts, but you can't go wrong w/ a Mathews...great quality bow. Shoot a few and decide what feels the best...yeah, it's almost a cliche on here, but it's the best advice.

Good luck in your pursuit of happiness!

I prefer my Outback over the Switchback. I have been hearing alot about the Ross 334 and 337. I am going to find a dealer and shoot one of these myself. On Archerytalk there is a post on there and a whole pile of poeple have switched from the mathews to the ross. Plus it is cheaper!!!!!

I love my SWB too.VERY smooth shooter.I have been shooting Mathews bows since they came out with the Z-Lite,,I think 94'.
No real interest in trying any other "brands".I will admit that the BowTechs have peaked my interest,,with all that extra speed, but every time I do get a chance to draw one,,I know/feel how the get the extra fps.I think I'm too use to the Mathews draw cycle.I can live with that

i make a ton of switchback strings and the people i talk to seem to love that bow. i've never shot one, but i've shot beside one, and the only thing i heard was 'whoosh'. it was very quiet.

I think it would be worth your while to take a drive to an area you can shoot the bow first. Chances are there will be a Hoyt, Botech, and other dealers in that area. Shoot them all and buy the one you like best. With that being said, you won't go wrong with the Switchback.

Love my SB as well. Another thing to think about: when you get the urge to upgrade down the road, that Mathew's bow will still bring ina good re-sale price over some of the other brands on the market. So if your holding off to save money, when you finally decide to sell your "brand -X" bow, it's going to cost you more later because you'll loose more down the road. Just a thought.
