Default I shot the new 06 Hoyt Tricon today

I shot the new Hoyt Tricon today and was impressed with it. I am a longer axle to axle guy but this bow shot real smooth. It looks like this bow may be a good seller for Hoyt this year. Has anyone shot one yet? If not you will be very surprised with the feel of this bow.

i haven't even been to an archery board that even has a pic. I think you might be one of the few that's shot it. Specs look good though. Does it still have the TEC riser and did they add split parallel limbs? Any pics?

I left the copy of the brochure at the range. If I can remember to grab it tommorrow I will scan and post the pics. It has the tech riser and the parallel limbs. The cam is a cam and 1/2 but of a new breed. Hoyt is putting better strings on them also. The riser has built in alpha shocks and the string has alpha shocks also. There are 2 designs. One is the Tricon at 33 inches axle to axle. And there is a longer one with the axle to axle being 36 and it is the Tricon XL. The magnatech went away and was replaced by another in which I can't remember the name. The Tricon is a split limb bow also. It has an IBO of 316 fps. I think that they will sell quite a few of these bows. The cams are draw length specific and the rep was showing us a simple and easy way to adjust the valley and wall to accomodate more personal preferences. The engineers did great with this one.................

You've got to be kidding me!?! You actually bought into that crock that it was Mathews that started the parallel limb revolution? No one -- and I mean no one -- produced a bow that looked anything like the above Hoyt until Bowtech came on the scene.

Oh, and you can't say it's because I don't like Mathews... notice the name?
