On the Easton website, here are the specs listed for a regular XX75:
[ul][*]7075-T9 aluminum alloy[*]Strength (psi): 95,000[*]Weight tolerance: ± 1%[*]Straightness: ± .002" (.004" T.I.R.) [/ul] Here are the specs listed for the NexX75:
[ul][*]Straightness: ± .002" Guaranteed max.[*]7075-T9 aerospace alloy[*]Weight tolerance: ± 1%[*]Strength (psi): 95,000 [/ul] I really don't see what the difference would be, other than the HIT system. The alloy looks to me to be the same, with one tagged "aluminum ally" and the other tagged "aerospace alloy". The Nex picture on their website appears to show the regular unibushing/super nock.

How much are the Nex arrows? I would think it would be pretty hard to improve upon the tried and true.

I seen them in a bowhunting mag.

mine were 90 a dz with blazers and at the end the diameter gets smaller so the broadheads fit on better

I just bought 2 dz. XX78 shafts for less than $40 per dz. including shipping. Even adding less than a buck per arrow for fletching, it is hard to justify the extra cost for XX75's.

I never knew, after all these years and after a pile of harvested deer, that my broadheads didn't fit the old insert system???[:-]:D

Wow, that's a pretty good price on those xx78's, Winger. Where did you buy them. I think I paid about $7 an arrow from the pro shop and that was bare shaft. I knew it was high but I try to buy as much from them as I can but I think I'd have to look into those for that price.

Actually, I lucked out on Ebay ... BUT, shafts of all sorts can be had reasonably priced at places like fsdiscountarchery.com.

Sometimes, when you need them, you need them. I support local shops as well and have no problem paying a bit more.
