What in the world!
 

Well, I was bare shaft tuning my BowTech Allegiance yesterday and could not get my shafts to hit with my arrows. I decided to try to increase my draw weight to 70 lbs. Today I went out to shoot and decided to decrease my draw weight. Well, it turns out the limb bolt is stuck, for the third time! I have had to take my bow to the nearest BowTech dealer, which is 1 1/2 hours away, to get the bolt lubed. It has happened to my top bolt once, and my bottom bolt twice. I am not going to be able to drive to this shop for several weeks, which pretty much puts an end to the early season. I am sick of this happening to my bow. [:@]

I don't know what to say, zak... That's not good at all. What kind of grease are they using to lube those bolts with, anyway? It shouldn't be drying out like that.

I hate to say it, but there are reasons I hunt with traditional stuff. Reliability is one of 'em.

I called a shop that fixed it last time, and they said to bring it back to where I bought it to get it fixed. I am not going to bring it back there, seeing as they could not even put a rest on it. I am hoping that I can send it directly back to BowTech for a replacement, sinceI was told to send it back the first time, or elseI will put it up and go out and buy another bow.

Try and get a replacement bow. I personally wouldnt pawn my problems off onto someone else unless they knew full well what they were getting into.

I said put it up, meaning up in my closet. I wouldn't sell a problem to someoneelse either.

why not just even up your tiller and shoot it until after season? (i would be very upset also, but just sayin'.)

Contact BowTech I am sure they'll want it back ,
as there is a problem with the threads they may be scared and now weak
the bolt holes can be retapped and cleaned but will not solve the problem.
It will continue.
It may have been a poor tapped bolthole due to a weak or dull tap
when the bow was manufactured.
So cantact BowTech.
It seems that no matter how well we pay attention to our toys

Do they have some "special wrench" that they use at the shop?They have to be turning it with something,and it just might be the same allen wrench that you have--suck it up man and remember righty tighty,lefty loosy:D

Haven't had a problem with mine. Just remember to loosen the locking screws on the side. I bet I have adjusted mine 30 times or so since I've had it dinking with different things. I've even had the bolts out once to install the NV system.

Just be careful to use a good allen wrench with the proper fit so you don't ruin the heads on the bolts.

Yours my have a problem with being crossthreaded or something. That sucks if your closest shop is that far away.
