noisy rest
 

i have a nap quicktune fall away rest that is making a "creeking sound" when i pull the bow back. everybody i talk to that has this rest says that they dont have this problem at all.it happens when i first start pulling back.when i let it back down and pull back again it doesnt make this sound.but after releasing the arrow and nocking another one it creeks again. if anyone knows any quick fixes or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Check your cable slide.

Remove it and draw your bow to see if it still makes the sound.

go buy a wisker bisket this will be my 3rd year with it and i would never buy anything eles ever

Check the cable slide for sure. I'd also put a drop of teflon based lube - not oil - into the works. Ifneither of thosefix it, it's time to take it apart and give it a good cleaning.

thanks for the info. i am shooting a mathews that uses that roller system instead of the actual cable slide.i just lubed it up and the rest and am about to find out the results. but if that dont work out i am going shopping for a new one.this is my first experience with a fall away.and if it wasnt for that creeking sound, it would be perfect.does anybody know how trophy ridges fall away is?

I shoot the Trophy Ridge drop zone and love it. It is super quiet (for me). I really like this rest, it is easy to tune and I'ven never had any problems with it. Good luck.

Buy a Whisker Bisket you wont be sorry no matter what Arthur P says, he has no experience shooting with a WB and aboout 60-75 percent of us here do and most of us are very very happy and will never go back to a prong rest again.
