What Arizona E-Z Fletch???
I am totally confused right now. What E-Z fletch should I buy. My rest is the whisker biscuit and I am shooting 350Carbon Express Maxima arrows.
Should I buy the Carbon or aluminum E-Z fletch? Which works best with the whisker biscuit rest, right helical, 1 or 6 degree offset or straight. |
RE: What Arizona E-Z Fletch???
Your confusion is not without merit.
I have both a straight carbon and a helical aluminum. The helical does 99% of my fletching chores. The aluminum size will fletch ICS carbons with no problem, but the carbon sized might put a tighter squeeze on the fletching to arrow contact. You need some sort of offset or helical to guide a fixed blade head, but the 1 degree offset? what's the use? the 6 degree, well how close is that to the helical? Too much helical/offset and the fletchings are having to work harder to pass through the biscuit. I myself wish they made a 4 degree clamp. Doesn't help you muchI know, but like i said your confusion is not without merit. |
RE: What Arizona E-Z Fletch???
I have a arizona e-z fletch...it has a 4 degree helical. I use the 4 inch vanes. I don't use carbon arrows myself because all the aluminum arrows that I already have, plus married so she said to use those up first, then maybe she would let me buy carbon.(yeah right...she holds all the money) But out at camp if someone has the carbon arrows and they need some repair or flecthing, I tried it and it worked ok. I have tried it on a multitude of arrows sizes. I really like the notch pacement on the base. It is adjustable to work on alot of different notch placement angles. It can fletch feathers as well as plastic on a variety of feather length... This is just my thought on it. I really like it. its really easy to use....

Buy a Bitzenburger and you can put fletchings on any arrow shaft. You can control the amound of offset or helical.
