arrow length??
I have my new mirage on my bow and this rest acts like an overdraw on the legacy. My arrows are 29" and are out in front of the rest a good 4". I was wondering if I should take 3" off the arrows or not?
Is there an arrow length that is too short? Will I gain speed? Lose kinetic energy? Anythign else that I will hurt going to a shorter arrow. MY bow is set at 65 pounds, 28.5" draw. Thanks

RE: arrow length??
There are a couple of considerations in shortening your arrows besides a speed gain of maybe 5-6 fps.
1. Your arrowspine will stiffen quite a bit by cutting it 4" shorter.
2. If you are planning on shooting broadheads and the rest is a dropaway your broadheads may catch on the riser shelf before the arrow is picked up into the upper position if the arrows are too short.

RE: arrow length??
Good points FLHunter. I never even thought about the broadheads making contact with the riser shelf prior to the arrow being picked up into the fully raised position. I will have to take a closer look at that with the arrows at their current length.
