compound info

I'm fairly new to bowhunting - about 3 seasons, and I'm ready to move up to a better quality bow. What are the advantages/disadvantages of a single vs. dual cam bow.
I'm looking at Parker, Bowtech, and Diamond models. I'll probably buy after the current season and see if I can save a dollar or three.
I appreciate any advice from the veteran on the list

Ehh im fairly new to (3years shooting) but i have shot in competitive leagues these 3 years. So i have been around alot of veterans.Dually bows have a smoother draw and a positive wall, the nock travel is straight and true, and typicaly they produce faster speeds. Downside is during the break in process the string and cables stretch and u do have to have them put on a press and put back in time, but once you have 200 or so shots on it, all the stretching is over, and you dont have to worry about timing issues anymore. Now if you go with Bowtech duallys, the 05 models have the new Binary cams, wich virtually eliminates timing issues. Single cams have a steeper draw to them and a much more noticeable "valley".But heck they shoot great to....So it boils down to if you want the fastest speeds and smoothest draw, go with a dually. If your not into speed so much, you may like a single cam better, because of the initial break in timing issues of a dual cam.Now keep in mind a single cam string stretches as well and gets out of wack, but its not quite as noticeable as a dually....dunno if that helps you any..

I agree. Also Most of the time duals are faster than solos of the same style..IMO duals are smoother drawing, and easier to hold at full draw. The downside was that they got out of tune alot.I feel like those days are over.I had a XI (dual cam)with no problems.I have shot the parkers, and Diamonds.I bought a Diamond Victory. The parkers were very nice, and it was a hard decision, but speed won me over.;)Hope I helped.
