4 wheeler question
 

I have a chance to purchase a 1995 Honda Foreman 300 for $1950 that is said to be in great shape, 1 onwer and I have known him for a while. Might can talk him down but is that a good price? Good ATV?

that is an excellent atv. small, powerful, and light weight. check the condition of it very well, tires, bearings, ect. see if he'll come down on the price a bit for a little bit better deal. you'll be happy with it. is it a 4x4?

10 years old..unless you know the owner well, and how he treated it. I'd pass. Unless you can get it for 1250 ish.

There is a year in which the 300 honda were last made in Japan and the next year they were made here. To the best of my knowledge the transition year was 95/96.
1995's made in Japan
1996 made here.

The 1995's and prior are the bullest proof honda atv's that gave them that name. Just something toconsider.

BTW, if it's a 4wd with low miles I'd consider it, 2wd & high miles- might want to keep looking.

Know the fella quite well, it was his fathers(that passed away recently from a falling tree) he took care of it and maybe not used it much. He was a part time saleman at a cycle dist.

if it's in really good shape then it might be worth it. my neighbor just bought a 4x4 '95 300. same atv except for 4x4 for $1900. it needed about $150 worth of work but it will last him a long time.
