Stanislawski with a Loop??

I have shot Stanislawski back tension releases during the off season for years. I just recently put a loop on my string for the first time. The guy at the pro shop told me to take the rope off of the release and attach the release hook to the loop. The problem is when I do this the release requires a large rotation of the release instead of true back tension. My question is, can I keep a short rope on the release and attach it to the loop or would that be dangerous?

Is the release adjustable? Maybe you just need to make it more sensitive. I don't know that I would put a rope thru a loop. Would it work? Probably, but I wouldn't do it. If you want to use that release just take the loop back off the bow.
