Tuning question, please help

My setup is Tomkat 27" DL, 26" Goldtip XT's with 125gr tips. 70lbs. Trophy taker shakey hunter rest. I paper tuned it the other day from about 4 feet away. It tore a beautiful tear. No probs left, right, high or low. Then I decided to shoot the same distance with a bear shaft. With the bear shaft paper tuning, my tear was high (end of the arrow, was hitting high). Do I need to do some adjustments, or should I just leave it alone since the tear with my fletchings was good? Thanks

It seems paper only gives you a rough tune, and you have to try several distances.
Bare shafting will do more for your flight. Off the top of my head I think high andlow points of impact show you that your nocking point must be moved slightly. I only shoot fingers, but sometimes there are other adjustments to make for release shooters.

RE: Tuning question, please help

I've got the same problem with my BowTec Patriot Dually ,just a slight high tear .My main problem is that I'm shooting about 12" low ,I don't want to move the sight and lower because it's just about maxed out .I've been thinking of maybe adjusting the up a bit ,but am unsure whether this will work or not .Any idea's that i can make to eliminate the tear and adjust my shooting low problem?
I also know that my arrow's are slightly over spined as well .

Nubo,
You need to raise your peep and lower your nock buddy.

savedbygrace, bare shaft tune your set up and give the paper to the kids to color on.

john, your rest needs to be moved up, or your nock down.

I'm going nock down .Once again while tuning I crimped the nock on loose and after shooting it moved up on me again .You would think that I'd remember the next time ,but obviously I didn't learn the first time ..
