metal loop
metal loop vs string loop
Is there any difference in the amount of noise that is made when the string is released ? Just wondering if the metal loop is noisier. |
RE: metal loop
I think it is. It also weighs more thus reducing arrow speed and there is always the chance that it could nick one of the synthetic cables.

RE: metal loop
I had a metal loop, with the little flat part behind the string that the knock slid over. The think I hated the most is that if the loop got twisted a little one way or the other, the arrow would pop right off. Often times when I am sitting in my treestand, I hold onto my bow, and have my release clipped on the string (loop). With the metal loop, every time I turned my release to the side or something while I was sitting there, the arrow popped off and fell to the ground! Not fun at all!

RE: metal loop
I believe the metal loop is louder and it also will slow down your arrow speed due to its heavier weight.

RE: metal loop
Use a string loop..... the metal ones like to eat serving, there heavier, and noisy.....

RE: metal loop
Not good use a loop.

RE: metal loop
I would go with a string loop. I had a metal one on my old bow and if that thing hits you in the arm, man you will be very very very unhappy.[:@]
