I shoot with a very slight bend in my arm. If I try locking my arm I end up slapping my forearm with the string.

go lean on a tree and see which way you can hold yourself up longer, that'll tell you which way you can hold your bow at full draw longer in a tough spot while hunting.

I shot with a bent elbow.The method of push pull .Push to the target and pull shoulder muscles slowly together.I use a back tension release but have used a trigger release with great results.I found the barner rope release worked well for a trigger release and back tension.I think because of the double block system it has.
