Thunderhead blades are loose
Just to try something different I bought a box of 3 blade, 100gr heads for my son and I can't get all three blades to tighten. No matter what I do at least 1 blade stays loose and I'm able to slide it back and forth in the groove. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should have stayed with Muzzy.

A friend of mine was having the same problems he ended up scrapping them and going to muzzy's.

RE: Thunderhead blades are loose
Make sure they are seated in the tip first. Then make sure the blades are flat against the body and fully seated in the slots. Then the ferrul must slip over and contain the back end of each blade. It's easiest for me to use the green tool that comes with them. You insert the body and it locks in. Then you slip each blade in and the tool holds them for you. Then you push the ferrul and the o-ring up to lock the blades in. Then you screw it onto the shaft and it's all held together. There are some instructions printed on the tool that need to be followed also because it's directional.
Hope this helps. They are nice heads. Make sure you spin test them for him; no wobblers. -Chief |

On smaller diameter carbon or ACC shafts, you'll need to also put on a UBAR (universal broadhead adapter ring) to get a tight fit and keep the blades snug.

He is shooting 1816 shafts, I just can't figure out why I keep having one blade loose. I'll try one more time, thanks
