RE: york raider xl
I'm pretty sure they went out of business a LONG time ago, 1990 I think. They may have had a connection to Pearson at one point or rather. Is it a recurve? They made recurves and then some compounds in the 80's and first part of 1990 ('s?). They hada shoot thru riser called the STO (Shoot thru Overdraw): http://www.archeryhistory.com/compounds/pics/80/york85.jpg

RE: york raider xl
It looks like the bow is from the 1983 ere ,CNC-1" with "Alpha cam"
early CNC riser compound. Meaning it is older than I was lead to believe. It seems to shoot ok but I don't think I want to put much money into it. But I will definetly put new a new string on it, I would guess it might be the original, so it is probalby due for a new one. Thanks for the web site. bn2hunt |
RE: york raider xl
If it has a long enough ATA and you can reduce the weight to around 50 lbs, it would make a great bowfihsing bow! Although, I'm sure if it is in good shape it'll still take anything out there.
