NRG Hybrid Cam Timing???
#1
I recently purchased a '05 PSE Vengenance Hybrid and I am in the process of tuning it. I remember on my old two cam Nova I had to take it to a bow shop to get the cams in correct timing. I think all they did was adjust the limb bolts in or out to make the camsroll over at the same time. Maybe it was something different..that was a while ago.....my question is, Do I have to adjust the timing of these cams or has the archery industry fixed the timing problem and that part of the tuning process isn't needed any more. And if I do need to adjust the timing, how do I do it? Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with that cam, but my experience with other hybrid cams has been they need to be timed. Ususally, there are a couple timing marks that give a range that is acceptable for that particular bow. In reality, I've found that they still need to be more exact than that. Mine only shot best at one position, and not through the whole range.
Tuning two variables at once can be rather complicated. Having to tune your rest position and your hybrid cam timing at the same time, can be troublesome. You may want an experienced bow shop to help you out on this one.
