Cable question on an old bow.
 

My arrows had been shooting very straight. NOw they are not. They are leaving funny off the string. My cable looks crooked. Here is my question. On my old Darton at the end of the cable there are like lead tri angles that the bow string is attached too. One of the tri angles is very straight. One is about 40 degrees turned off. Would this make a difference in the arrow leaving the string?

Yes, it is definitely changing the way the arrow is coming off the string. In fact, considering the teardrop has twisted AND the arrows are shooting different than before, it sounds like the teardrop is coming off the cable, or the cable is about to break, and it's getting ready to smack you in the face. Don't shoot the bow again until you take it to a shop and get the cables replaced... if they even still make steel cables.

You don't say what arrows you're shooting, but it's always best to keep arrow weight comfortably over 6 grains per pound on those old steel cable bows. Over 7 gpp would be even better.

Arthur is right. Don't shoot it agian. A cable is not worth an injury.. A bow is not worth an injury...Get it to a shop before you have to pay a visit to the emergency room!

I just talked to Gibblet on the phone. Real nice fellow. He gave me advice on looking for those cables.
