Default Limb seperation?

I appologize if this subject has been covered before, but I had a seperation of the outer layer of my upper limb on my MQ1 the other day and that set me to wondering about some things. My dealer ordered me a new set and the guy at Mathews told me that is something that just happens occassionally and cant be helped. Is this a common problem with other types of bow limbs or is it just something that happens with Mathews bows? How many shots does it take to make it happen? Is it a problem with the outer coating? I know some of you folks can shed some light on this for me. Thanks
