Hoyt ProVantage parts

I have a Hoyt ProVantage bow, made in the late 80's. It was a 60-80 lb bow, but at a 3-D tournament a Hoyt rep. gave me some taller limb blocks (essentially the plastic fulcrums that the limbs pivot on for weight adjustment) soI could get more draw weight and speed. I shot the bow at about 90 lbs for a while then switched to traditional gear for many years.

Anyway, I want tohunt with it this year, but I want to shoot about 70 lbs. Of course I can't find the original limb blocks. Do any of you guys know whereI can get a set? I contacted Hoyt customer service by fax with no response. Thanks.

Hoyt won't have any parts for ProVantage bows any more, but they can still give you the technical info for it - brace height, axle to axle length, string and cable lengths... Your best bet would be to scout around flea markets, pawn shops and any other resale stores and find another old ProVantage to use for parts. Last one I bought, I got it for $50.

If you could post some pictures I might be able to help.

I have a digital camera, what do you want to see a photo of? The bow, or just the limb blocks?

Both if you can and the measurements of the blocks. It's just a slim chance so don't kill yourself. I've heard posting pictures can be a big pain.

I have a 20 something bow and it may match yours.

I uncrated the bow, put the original wheels back on and set it up. I'll just shoot it with the limbs backed off a bit.
Thanks anyway.

Well it figures.

I decided to set my bow up with the limb blocks I had. Guess what showed up in the mail....a set of original blocks from Hoyt. No charge.
