Twisted limb help.
 

I have a twisted limb on a PSE single cam Beast that's about 6years old.
It's the lower limb where the cam is.
I don't really have the money right now for a new set of limbs or a new bow.

Can I swap upper and lower limbs with each other so the bent one is atached to the idler wheel?
If so, do you think this could help? I have a terrible tear right now.

No, unfortunately thats not going to help.

I dont know what to tell you, other than see if you can find a used bow for real cheap, or perhaps some used limbs for that bow.

Did you find out how much a set of limbs would be from a shop, are they still available from PSE?

Try posting a want ad over on archerytalk.....the classifieds get a ton of traffic.

Finally what draw length and weight are you looking for. I have an older Hoyt I would sell you cheap, all set up. Its 30-32" and 55-70#.

If that doesnt fit, someone else might have something cheap or free you could use.

I would contact the shop you bought the bow from and/or PSE directly. There is a reason they are known to have one of the best customer service departments in the business. I would not be surprised if you get a new set of limbs out of the deal.

Are you sure that the limb is twisted? Or is your cam leaning? If it's the cam leaning.. then the bushings are prolly worn out and need replaced. I work on alot of PSEs.. and if I have any issues they are great to deal with. If the limbs are indeed twisted.. I'd think that PSE would replace them free of charge. But you will need to take the bow to an authorized PSE dealer.. and let them look it over 1st.

It looks like it really is twisted.
The cam was leaning, and that's what made me take a closer look.
I had a bent axle, which I replaced, but now I see that the ends of the limb don't match and that it has a slight twist to it toward the axle end. The bushings look OK, but the limb is definitely having issues.

I've heard that PSE has had great customer service, and in fact that played into my decision to get this particular bow.
I had called PSE before I posted this, but didn't think to ask about a free repair. I figured that the bow would be out of warranty being as old as it is. Do they have a lifetime garantee that I don't know about?

I priced a new set with PSE at about $150, so being that pricey, I had hoped to find another solution to limp through the next hunting season and just keep my shots short, and then buy a new bow next year. This one is kinda heavy anyway compared to the new stuff.

Thanks for the ideas about the classifieds and stuff. I might try that.

Swap the limbs like you said, what do you have to loose if you don't want to spend any money??

Yeah, I'm gonna try it anyway.
I was hoping to hear it would help, so I'd feel more motivated to tearing the whole thing down to do it. ;)
