Satllite Broadheads

Just bought some 100 grain Satellite broadheads.I've never handled broadheads before as I've only hunted small game, but I'm going out for Deer in the fall.

I want to install the smaller aux. blades, but I'm not sure of the proper way. Theres a small slit on both sides which they go into, but i'm not sure how to get them in there. should I slide them in from the back of the slit? I've tried, but it's a really tight fit. Any suggestions?

thanks

What satalites are you using? Some are ok others are junk. I bought some cheap-os at kmart that I would not use on woodchuck.

Slide the point/tip in first starting at the back and push forward.

I tried sliding those aux. blades in, but they are not getting in there! Even with hammer taps! Is this normal?

It's not normal, but satillite heads are not know for their high quality either. most that I have tested have been poor at best. You may have yet another bad batch. It is possible your not doing it correctly but it's hard to tell without seeing the heads.

RE: Satllite Broadheads

I've tried sliding it in from all the way back, to just a little further in, no go. Even with a bit of 3:1 oil. I'm tired of messing with them.

Thing is they shoot great with my setup, but I don't know how comfortable I am with using just 2 blades.

Anyone out there have any recomendations for a quality full blade broadhead?

Here's what I'm shooting:

Chek-Mate Trident recurve 60in., 56# 29 3/4in draw

GoldTip Expedition Hunter 5575, 4 fletch feather, 100 grain

Magnus Stingers. Fly exactly with your field tips. You can get the four bladers, with the bleeder blades. If you shoot the broadhead into a vault door on purpose, just send the head in and you will get a brand new head back. Thats how good their guarantee.

Thanks for the tip. 2 other people have recommended them too, so I've ordered a set to try them out. Can't go wrong with a lifetime guarantee I guess.

Thanks again.
