RE: fletching my own

The guys on here can be a big help. Search some of the topics I have posted on fletching. Read all you want the only way to know is to try it. I descided to try it and since I didn't want to tie up much money I bought a cheap greyling at Dicks for 29.99. Went to the proshop and bought some vanes. .30$ each and tried it. It is a piece of cake and the more I do the better I am getting. I a couple of weeks I have already learned some good tricks. My best advice is dont be cheap and buy some arrow wraps.

I agree with Bigbuck270 on just trying it. It is much easier than I originally thought and the Grayling fletch jig works nice.

The wraps are real nice because when you want to change fletchings, you just peel off the wrap (that is just a sticker), and refletch. Of course with the wraps, you do have to replace all the vanes/feathers at a time, not just one or two.

Hope that made sense to you.
