How much longer were you thinking? A week?

Gm54-120 12-12-2018 05:31 AM

Week max but 3 days is plenty fair.

How about restoring that forum from the backup?

I can give you a date to go back. I'd just need to do a bit of research as I bet this yahoo did this in a day or two.
And the affected forums wouldn't loose much new but gain back it's integrity.

Anyone else agree?

I agree with you. Shame to lose all of the content.

It's all soft deleted in the tradition muzzleloader forum. You should be able to view them.

I can see it both ways. Once you post it here it belongs to the forum. But I can also see if the guy doesn't wanna be here let him go. The better question should be how can you get knowledgeable people to come here, not how you can force them to stay.

My two cents, once you post, it stays. If you posted in anger/error, fine, maybe a few days to amend. Otherwise it stays. If you really regret what you said, post again to apologize or explain. Deletion of posts, like taking your marbles and going home, is childish. And in any case, they are not your marbles.
