Probably just banner ads trying to retrieve your browsing history.
Annoying and rude, but not malicious

Cool

Microsoft Security Essentials popped up with a virus warning earlier today and launched a scan. It found a Trojan.

FYI, I forwarded a copy of this topic to admin/techies. Iw as asked for a link and provided the link to this topic. If any of you can provide a more specific link to the specific webpage you were on when you received the virus warning, please email a hyperlink to admin so they can track this down. It may just be some authorized ad pushing program that isn't going to be changed. However, it may also be some sort of virus that admin needs to know about and fix. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
