Need Help with Chat and latest version of JAVA 6.24
 

There are several from Canada that can not paste links.

Ctrl C and Ctrl V does not work for them. Even the ole right click to get the pop up menu does not work for them.

Both in Chat and on the forums and it don't make sense.

I have found the problem and need help - updating to Java version 6.24 the latest does not allow one to copy and paste in chat!

Please look into this!

Right or wrong this worked for me.

My system is Vista
I do run Explorer version 9

I dumped or Uninstalled Java version 6.24

Then I loaded this

And I can paste as I once could in HNI Chat.

I am not a techy and this may be ALL wrong so be forwarned - YOU ARE On YOUR Own! But it worked for me.

well..it didnt let me sign into chat with this version. when i signed in, it said plug in needed click here..took me right bak to 6-24

Don't know if you did.

I had to completely delete my Java version 6.24. I used the Control Panel-Programs-highlighted Java 2.64 then Uninstal.

Once that was done I loaded that link I posted here and it let me back in chat

I wish I would have never tried to help that user as now I have an older version of Java (don't get me wrong it works) and the latest version of Internet Exploer Version 9 (which I don't like at all.) Has slowed my page loading times way down.

I do wish I could go back to Version 8.

i did uninstall it..i never noticed the tab said open anyway..or open this time...do you get that when ya go in the chat room?

I was not happy with that version 5 of java and did find my version 6.23

that allowed me to paste again in chat.

And still not happy with 9 explorer!

Okay so far I have helped 2 users as they did remove Java 6.24 from their contorl panel and installed 6.23 and now can paste again in Chat room.

this did work..ya have to hit "run this time" instead of "update" when you try and sign back on

Version 9 Explorer sucks!

Takes me counts of 30 to 50 just to open a page and quite frankly I am ready to quit!

I have another machine that I have not updated and don't have half the wait time for a page to load as I have with 9 here on this machine.

Microsoft I suspect it is also about Windows 7 - You know where you can go!
