Please Fix The Login Problem

I keep having to login every time I switch from one forum to another, or from one post to another.
It's getting Old Fast.

Thank You

It just happened again.
I had to login 3 times, and it still wouldn't let me stay logged in.
I click the remember me button, but I am still logging in over, and over.

really this is getting old fast

dman4505 07-17-2009 05:06 AM

this site is beginning to suck, when I log in I get the thanks for logging in message but when I read a post and try to respond to it, it says I can't respond because I'm not logged in. now which is it am I logged in or not. I've tried logging in from the post I'm reading and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, that's what I had to do to get here.

I get the same thing.

Why isn't someone fixing this?

The solution is simple and I know hardly anything about computers. Here it is. Whatever someone did before the problem occurred, change it back to what it was. There wasn't that easy?

I don't think anyone cares, looks like there's only three of us having issues so they don't give a crap.

Stormybot 07-17-2009 04:27 PM

Can you try again? If it fails, clear your HNI cookies and then try again. You should be able to stay logged in now.

No worries. We want to get the forums working perfectly as well. We appreciate all the constructive criticism you give us.

Weird.

But you are good now, right?

cvtrapper 07-23-2009 11:03 AM

I have this problem also. You have to go to the home page and click sign in at the top of that page. It is very annoying to do if you are just lurking and want to add something. You have to go back to the home page to sign in to comment.

Stormybot 07-24-2009 03:59 PM

cvtrapper,

Could you try again? I am able to log in on any page now. Be sure to clear your forum cookies first ... just in case.

cvtrapper 07-25-2009 06:15 PM

Yes when I clear my cookies it works. But who wants to clear their cookies everytime to log in? It is easier to goto the home page and click sign in.

I had trouble logging on here today.. It kept redirecting me after I put my user name ect.. in. It also looks like some more issues heading our way with all those strange posts going up on here.. I think the best advice is not to open any of them so they can be removed from here..

pats102862 11-26-2009 03:32 AM

I just tried to start a new thread. I loged in, started the thread. typed in what I wanted to say and when I submitted it, the site said your not logged in. Screw it, I 'am not doing it two or three times till it works.

HNI_Christine 11-26-2009 05:10 AM

Weird. I think a lot of people are still having log in problems here.

Is the clock on your computer correct? I have on laptop that cannot keep the correct time and date and if I try to log on with that computer, I can't stay logged in. I adjusted the time and date so it was correct and then I can stay on. It's a long shot... but something to look at.

:(

I am still having this issue, on two different computers, with two different versions of IE

mez 02-18-2010 09:06 AM

I'm still having this problem as well, logs me out when I switch pages or after a certain amount of time. My computer clock says 11:03 am which is correct. The HNI clock shows 4:49 pm.

Voodoo 05-23-2010 07:55 PM

I'm having these issues too, sent a message to "contact us" a couple weeks ago about it, still waiting for a reply, hard to contribute anything due to the hassle....I wonder how many members left because of it....seems like it's been a problem for a while now...........

HNI_Christine 05-28-2010 03:14 PM

I forwarded your message to the tech guys and they said they are aware of a problem that does mess with some folks log in and they still are working on it. (they gave me some techie mumbo jumbo that I didn't understand)

They did say to do the usual 'delete cookies' and delete 'temporary internet files' as that usually helps.

Thanks for posting that you didn't hear back from tech. I don't get those emails so I can't light a fire under anybody unless I know there's a problem. I will continue to pester them to get it fixed as long as know there is still a problem.

If anyone else is also having a log in issue, please let me know. [email protected]
