How long do topics stay " pinned" to the top?

I' ve seen a few posts pinned to the top of the boards. How long do they stay there?

Froman, until one of the moderators unpins it.

I think we should respect each other as mods when something is pinned to the top. If you as a moderator didn' t pin it, then don' t unpin it and vise versa....like the polls pinned/top in bowhunting. Although they are my polls, I didn' t pin them to the top.
