hey slugman, most people use a web hosting site, i use photobucket.com, its free up to so much space, then just use the "add image" icon on the reply screen go to photobucket copy and then paste in the add image link, send me a pm if that dosen't help you, good luck i know when i first started trying to post pics it was very fustraiting

Download the program that is located in this link. It is free and works great. Try 100kb pics as a starter. Once you get the picture the size you want use an image hoster like the one mentioned before this post.

if you have the paint program on your computer open the pic with it. go to the image tab and select stretch/skew. where the stretch section is change it from 100% to something like 50-50 and it will shrink the pic
