Order Status
 

Hello All. Just this past deer season I got my first buck. Nothing to brag about, but since it was my first I wanted to have an antler mount done and tan the hide. Since this is my first experience with having this done, I had no expectations regarding how long it should take to do this. I took the materials to the taxeder. in early December. When I left, he said it would take at least three months. So I called the other day to check on the status since I hadn't heard from him. He tells me its going to be another month. My question is what is the normal time frame for these types of procedures? I would have never have thought it would take so long. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's no specific answer. Each taxidermist will be slightly different, depending on workload. It just depends on how many people are in front of you. However, I would consider anything under 6 months very fast.

when i got my first one done it took almost a year to get it back. after that i decided to learn how to do it my self. so less than six months seems pretty fast to me too.
