mounting a fish
 
How are is it really? i've heard that it is and that it isn't hard. I've read up on it and it doesn't sound to hard except for the painting. I really want to try it but let me know what you guys think

the painting is the easy part.as for the prep and getting ready to finish is not all that bad after you have done about a dozen. after that it's a pieace of cake.

now days most mounts are reproductions made of fiberglass.there are several different methods to doing it.
go to WASCO and read what they have on fish. ( Wildlife Artist Supply Co.)

Bass, Pike, Perch, etc are much easier to mount than Salmon & Trout. The "thicker skinned" "scalier" fish ar easier to work with, skin, & paint and they don't show as many flaws.
