Turkey Mounting

I was wondering that if you harvest a bird and want to get it mounted , should you gut it ??? Also if your going to take it to the TAX man , will u get the meat back , or does he reap the benifits of that??? thanks

I always told my coustmers to split the skin down the middle of the breast and remove the meat carefully and take out the guts also.
the TAX man as you call him can fix the breast cut.
if you leave the bird whole , he will have some good fried breast,[8D]:D

Always call the taxidermist before making any cuts. Many do not use the breast cut and this will cause extra work, which will equal more cost.

I agree, call the taxidermist first.
