This is something a little different in a deer mount.

I'd sure says it different, not sure I'd want one, but its sure something different to enjoy! or start up some conversations over , be a cool thing to have in an outfitters lodge rec room!

I don't really care for that. One of the coolest mounts I ever saw was a caped buck and head packed up in a frame pack like it was being carried out.

Let me see if I can find the picture online.

I saw an African plains antelope mounted similar to that but instead of separated pieces of the hide it was in big wrinkles going up and then started to fill out a little at a time until the neck was full, I thought it was real nice. It was at Kanati taxidermy in Berks co. where I had my elk hide done. They do a lot of innovative mounts.

This is actually an Impala form with a Whitetail change out head. Yes, Kanati is a very large and prestigious taxidermy studio with many talented artists. I have seen several of their mounts and they do absolutely stunning work.
