If it were up to me I'd go with the replica. Just make sure you shop around. Some look great (realistic) and some do look like plastic toys. I guess it's true, you do get what you pay for.

I would go with a replica. I just had one done at kingsailfishmounts.com it's a little pricy but worth every penny.

I've seen some fake ones that look really nice (and keep their shine), but it's hard to beat the real deal.
