Deer head put in freezer for 2 years
 

Hey guys I'm kind of embarrassed about this but I shot a buck 2 Novembers ago and I had to go straight back to college from my property so my dad put my deer head and cape in the freezer when he got home and I have not really touched it since then. Would I still be able to get it mounted? I'm almost positive he did not put any effort into wrapping it up well in the garbage bag it's in. Any help would be appreciated. Would mean alot if I could get this thing hung.

Take it to a taxidermist and ask them if it is still good. No one can answer your question sight unseen.

Good luck! If the cape isn't able to be salvaged, a good taxidermist will usually either have an extra cape or two around or be able to get one. Ask about doing that if he says yours is no good.

Without a picture we can't even guess. Let us know what your taxi says

Hey guys sorry for the delay but took it to my guy that day. Had to buy a cape from him but I'm good to go, we'll see how it looks in 5 months!
