That is certainly correct in this instance and why the OP is so bummed out about it! All I'm saying, and probably what the OP is thinking, is that doing as you suggest really won't make the situation better if the original cape would have to be removed.

I have to agree. I only want the cape of the animal I shot on the horns that went with it.

I have received numerous comments and critiques... most of which agree completely with my assessment. This job appears to be the work of and amateur or in-training novice. Too bad it has ruined the look of this noble buck. Bat rastids!
