Foxes? Full mount $ ?
 

Shot 2 red fox last night with the HMR, I was actually hunting for yote ; but hey I'm an opportunist too.
One was just cruisin the woodline , never saw me @ 50 yds.
Bout an hour later I spotted the second one moving through an apple orchard stopped him and called him in to about 70 yds.
Any way, two very handsome critters, I'm thinking of getting them mounted for the man cave, got 2 prices so far; 750 for a single , 1200 for the pair from one taxidermist, & 275 each from another..
pretty big difference between them.
What you all think a fair price should be?

USUALLY, you get what you pay for. That's why you have to look at their work. I wouldn't consider the $275/each one. There's too much work on a LS fox to make a profit at that price, unless some corners are being cut.

I get $575.00 for a lifesize fox.

Foxes are the hardest predator to do, IMO. (Even harder to pull off than cats) I can tell you w/o seeing it, that a $275 fox is going to be a disaster. I get $525 each, plus an additional charge for the base. I'd look long and hard before settling on a shop to do your foxes. Find someone who's predators look alive.
