Anybody ever heard of rubbing a lemon wedge on the fur of a mount to help preserve it?

Can't say I have, though I have heard that the occasional dusting with a paper towel sprayed with pledge helps the fur stay in good condition and protect it from mites and the like.

I would think lemon juice would make it sticky and pick up dust and make it stick forever...... Could be wrong I guess. WCL

Surely you misunderstood. Are you sure someone didn't say Lemon Pledge? ;)Lemon Pledge or lemon wedge,neither willpreserve anything, nor will they repel bugs.

pledge on my bass boat for a quick shine,but never on a mount.
