I think I'm set for the bleaching of the skull.I know it has probably been said a thousand times but I have never seen it told. I have the peroxide from the hair supply store, 216 ozbottles. The part I keep failing to see is do I mix this stuff 50/50 or what? Will I need more peroxide to fill this potI would think full strength would be disastrous not to mention expensive.

Rick - DO NOT USE A METAL POT!!!!!! Plastic yes but not metal. Sometimes you have a chemical reaction between peroxide and metals, depending on the metal compound and peroxide. Never use a metal pot, the chemical reaction could cause an explosion or fire. What I use is Basic White powder and 40% peroxide clear, from Sally's Beauty supply, mix to a paste and spread over the skull coating everything. Let sit overnight, wash off and then sit it in the sun for a couple of days. Have you degreased your skull yet? If not it will have yellow stains to it.

I boiled it and picked it clean, is that the same as degreased?How do you get the paste into allthe little crevisives? A brush maybe?Thanks for the tip on the metal pot, would have took way too many bottles of peroxide anyway[&:]The paste seems to be the way to go as more than a few have PM'd me telling me the same thing, use the paste. That is what and how I will tackle this tomorrow. Will have pics before and after some time next week. Stay tuned:D
