Tanning Hides?
 
Hey everyone I am wanting to start tanning hides with the fur on them but dont know what the process consists of. Basically what chemicals would I need and what all things do i need to do to the hide. I would send them off but dont really have the money. Any information is appreciated.

Start buy salting them and angle a board and let it drain over night then wash and put in a pickleing agent such as saftey acid get your ph level to about a 1.5 to a 2.0 and soke for 72 hrs then use liqa tan or some other tanning cream and follow the directions from there

UMM I geusse yes. I am starting trapping so this might need to go in the trapping forum, but yeah I want to make tans to make rugs and such with out of deer, coyote, bobcat, raccoon, and beaver hides. I appreciatethe help so far.
