RE: Turkey fan mount
I tried 1 of those from Van Dykes. Used my fan and beard and it provides a styrofoam head and breast. They look really good.

RE: Turkey fan mount
First you have to get all of the fatty tissue (yellow in color) out from in between each quill, then get as much meat off as possible and what i do is use poster board and bondo. put the poster board on the bottom mix your bondo, put it on and fold your poster board over let the bondo set (usally takes a min or so) then trim the excess;)

RE: Turkey fan mount
I use bonda to cover the area that was flesh

RE: Turkey fan mount
my first ever attempt at any type of taxi I made the plaque my self and mounted he fan with hot glue as well as the beard. I know it isn't great but I used all left over scraps from work since I am a contractor so it didn't cost me anything.
