Tanning hides

I wanted to get started on tanning hides. i was hoping someone would be able to help me out. like what stuff to buy and some tips on how to do it. thanks

I think you'll get more help if I move your post to the taxidermy forum. Those guys know tanning.

What kind of hide are thinking of tanning? Deer?

All ive ever done is brain tanning. Makes a nice soft leather. Ive never tried chemical tanning. Here is a good site for traditional methoids. Bark or brain.You will also find out how to make all kinds of stuff there.
