I know this has been asked before but again can some tell the best way to care for a velvet buck till I get him to the tax. If I get it in the freezer right away will it be ok.

Freeze em and get them off to be freeze dried. Late season velvet antlers, those that are fully formed and gone through the hardening stage ( late August and September) can have the velvet treated, but these early stage velvet antlers must be freeze dried.
