Finally my elephant (pics)
 

Well last week we Finally got the Elephant that been worked on for 28 day strait.It is a real skin mount from a client that i will keep private.We build it right onto a trailer so that it would be easy to transport and then when we got it to its location we took the wheels off and made a habitat around the base. It turned out to be a lot more work than what was expected. We had it in the shop for a while and we are just now getting it where its home will be for a while which is at Wilder Outdoors in Clarksville Ga. The total weight of the elephant mounted weighed 2900lbs. We took it to a rock scale to have it weighed.

NOTE: The ears are not on for the moving of the animal.

That looks really nice. I couldnot imagine workingon something that big. It took 28 days, but how many hours and how many people worked on it?

so do you atatch the ears afterwards ? when it gets to its destination ?

yes the ears are attached back onto the head of the elephant when it arrives at its destination.. It took 28 days to mount starting at 7am -2am everyday. The finish work took a little more then 4 days working the same hours

Congrats,

You just can't imagine how big an elephant is till you get up close and take a look. Was just out at the new Cabelas store in Phoenix, AZ and they have a life size mount and it is breath taking. Well done.

Thats just insane great job. I been joking the wife about adding a room on the house for my mounts. Id like to see the expression on her face if i brought something like that home
