Missouri taxidermy
 

I have chosen my career path as a taxidermist; however, I cannot find any schools in Missouri. Does anyone know of how I can become ataxidermist without leaving Missouri? One manI spoke to said he did classes by mail and then worked with a taxidermist, but I cannot find anything except online bird taxidermy school.

If you don't want to stray to far from home, then I would suggest getting in contact with a reputable local taxidermist and ask him if you can come by each day and help out and in return you can learn from him. Probably wouldn't take long to learn by doing it that way. Probably way cheaper too....[8D]

there is a taxidermy school or classes somewhere around camdenton (LOZ area) kind of pricey from what my friend told me, but he said he felt it was worth it, i could try to find out who it is if you'd like

Good news!!! I contacted a couple places and one offers schooling for $2,400 and then you work for him for 6 months and the second place I went to, I watched him work and then today if I can start working with him (and stomach it, which I've done GREAT so far!!) then I can work for him! Thanks for the help ya'll!

There is a school in Linn Creek Missouri called Missouri Taxidermy Instatute.
