Default Homemade Tumbler and Bird Flesher

Any body know where I can get plans or ideas on how to make a homemade bird flesher and a tumbler. I am just getting in to taxidermy and I dont want to spen alot of money since I will only be doing my own birds and maybe my close friends birds. Any other tools I might need as well. [/align]

I have seen tumblers made from old dryers and bird fleshers from small bench grinders[just ad a wire wheel].
The dryer drum must spin, but you have to close off the areas where the air comes in and out.also make sure the heat is disconnected and fan also.

First off, don't use a bench grinder for a bird flesher, they have waaaaay too much torque. It will tear your bird up. Second, for a tumbler don't use a dryer, they spin too fast, ideally you want it to spin 12- 20 RPMS. I prefer 14 rpm. You can use an old plastic drum, build in your baffle and roll it. The flesher I would buy one made for it. Research Mannikins has plans for tumblers.
