Euro mount boar question?
 
A buddy of mine told me that a boar head can be euro mounted and I just shot one yesterday[&:]....I recently had a kid & I dont have the $450 an area taxi just quoted me for a mount, so if anyonecanadvise how to doa euro mountI would greatly appreciate it..thanks for the help folks.

You need to boil it until all meat and fat comes easily off, then you want to remove the water by straining through a mosquito mesh ,in case the teeth are loose you will not loose any, then you use a degreaser and wash the skull thouroughly, make sure there is no meat or fat still attached to the bone, set the skull up hide where the sun will hit it and pout or brush it heavely with 40% hydrogen peroxide,I do it every day for 3 to 4 days.
And then glue any loose teeth or tusksback in place, and you have a bleached skull pic a board and screw the skull to it.

I set it up high in top of a shed to keep any animal from dragging it away and also where there is no shade from the sun,LOL

It is also good to set the water to a boil before you put the skull in it, too much boiling can ruin it.

I buried the head in the ground for a couple of months, pulled it up and it was almost clean. Boiled it for like 30 minutes and it looks great. Easy, but you wont have it immediatly.

Thanks for the reply guys and thx for those pics Reb. I already skinned it so now i'm on the fence as to wether I should boil it or bury it? What do you guys think?
